Why are the southern slopes in himalayan region covered with thick vegetation cover as compared to the northern slopes of the same please give me answer?

The northern slopes of Himalayas has very low temperature compared to the southern slopes, vegetation is also thick here as the temperature is considerable and the land is fertile due to soil eroding downwards due to gravity and also precipitation .
