The tropical rain forests are called evergreen forests as they are green through out the year.

EXPLANATION:

     Unlike other forests, the tropical rain forests remain green all through the year and hence they are called as the evergreen forests. Trees like rosewood, mahagony, and ebony are commonly found here. They receive proper and heavy rainfall.

    The Annual rainfall in these forests is above 234 cm. They remain green always because they shed leaves at different times of the year. Hence, they have quite sensible reasons to be called as the evergreen forests.
