the farm labour come either from landless families cultivating small plots of land .They are poor and helpless,They regularly have to look out for work.Since there is heavy competition for work among the farm labourers in the country,these laboureres agree to work for less than the minimum wages.

farm labourers are generally Illeterate and ignorant.They are not organised in unioins.so it is difficult for them to bargain with the landowners and secure good wages.
