why are the weight in a weight box kept in a ratio 5:2:2:1​

In a weight box the sets of weights or masses are (500g:200g:200g:100g) and if we put this in ratio it will be 500g:200g:200g:100g=5:2:2:1,you can use any unit insted of gram
