it comes under chemistry not physics.....
due to isotopes.... different atoms have different amount of neutron than proton and electron. The atoms in a particular element have a fixed amount of neutron, proton and electron. that's why there are different types of atom

Atoms in a chemical element that have different numbers of neutrons than protons and electrons are called isotopes.
The atoms in a particular element have an identical number of protons and electrons but can have varying numbers of neutrons.

Hydrogen is the only element which have 3 isotopes ie
1. protium
2. duterium
3. tritium
