There are frequent drought and flood in India bcoz
1.Deforestation-The trees hold the soil firmly thus preventing soil erosion which is main cause of drought. It prevents water from entering settlements as soil is fertile and held firmly so water is absorbed by soil.
2.Climate change-due to global warming temperature is increasing and droughts are occurring.
3. urbanization, overgrazing, human interference in climate change.
