In external fertilisation the chances of survival of the offspring is lesser than internal fertilisation

Hence more offsprings are produced to ensure survival.

there is a high probability that the eggs can be eaten by some organism or can get damaged due to external factors.

Hope it helps

Hello mate ❤

In case of internal fertilization there are more chances of survival as the baby remains in mother's body and get ready to adapt the environmental conditions

But in external fertilization there are low chances of survival as the fertilization occers outside of the body and the baby have to grow out its just a matter of luck and adaptability of the baby that which one will survive and which one won't.

I hope this is helpful
