Why are there more bones in the body of infants than in the body of adult human beings?

The bones would be small and tiny at birth at the time we grow the bones get fixed and the bones at first get attached and the number gets decreased

Its because when the baby is small the bones are not attached to each other as we grow the bones get attached with the other bones making the number of bones decrease...
