The traits acquired during the lifetime of an individual are not inherited because the changes occur in the non-reproductive cells of an organism are not capable of being passed on the next generation

I think your full question is :-

why are traits acquired during life time of an individual not inherited

Here's ur answer :-

Traits acquired during the life-time of an individual just enable an individual to adapt itself to the surrounding and do not change the genetic makeup of the organism. Only those variations are inherited, which come into the germ cell of the organism.
