Answer:

because the changes in the germ cell can only e be inherited and the traits acquired during lifetime cause change in the somatic cells

for example if a man has a muscular body then and his muscle cells a type of somatic cell are changed and there is no change in the germ cells which are required for Inheritance of traits

Only the traits which are passed through DNA of germ cells are inherited to the offsprings during sexual reproduction. On the other hand the traits acquired during lifetime do not pass on to the DNA of germ cells that’s why they cannot be inherited.
