why are two blankets better to use than one woolen blanket in winters

taannaa: it is better to use two blankets than one woolen blanket in winters as there is air trapped between two blankets and air is a bad conductor of heat.it doesn't allow heat to escape thus keeping more warm.

Its better to wear two cotton blankets then one single woolen blanket because the cotton cloth has so small gaps between them that air cannot enter through it and it also traps the heat.
