Why are two sounds heard at short intervals at one end of a long hollow

iron pipe when it’s other end is struck with a solid body ?
pls pls help me with explaination​

  • There will be two sounds, one will through the air , and other will come through the material, Sound speed is faster in steel, therefore it will be heard earlier than the sound from air.
