Ultrasonic waves have frequency more than 20,000 Hz but human ear can only detect the waves having frequency range 20Hz-20,000Hz

Our ears (ear drum) cannot respond so fast to react to the frequencies of vibration more than 20 kHz ... So we cannot hear the ultrasonic sounds.
