There are many countries in world which have sovereign Parliament,Which means Parliament allover powerful .Receives no authority from anyone to regulate or legislate.Example of this is United Kingdoms.
while some of them have provisions to Judicial review (Judiciary power to review enacted laws) by which Supreme court or Highest Judicial Institute of repsective country can overrule enacted law on the basis of unconstitutional base or any other reason.
Here you have not mention that , you are asking for India though I assume that.
In India,
we must thank to our Constitution makers .
Because, they have maintain great balance in legislative organ i.e Parliament and Judicial organ i.e Supreme court. Where neither Parliament nor Supreme Court is poweful. Both have received authority from Constitution. Yes, that means ‘Constitution of India’ is all powerful than any other .
In India ,Supreme court can abrogate any act if it is proved Unconstitutional . {not adhere to basic features of Constitution}That is called Judicial Review. In Parliament members can not talk conduct of Supreme court judges,But Parliament can remove judges in certain conditions. In same way Supreme court has no right to check or investigate Parliamentary proceeding or anything related to conduct of MPs in Parliament.Parliament can remove even Chief Justice of India in certain conditions.Where Supreme court has right to invalid election of President of India on certain grounds .
