Hello mate

Because they are mostly ices without deep hydrogen mantles, Uranus and Neptune are often called Ice Giants, to distinguish them from the Gas Giants, Jupiter and Saturn.

Dear friend

Actually they two are the ice giant planets in the solar system .

They have become known as ice giants because............

Their constituent compounds were solids when they are primarily incorporated into the planets during their formation, either directly in the forms of ices or trapped in water ice.

And also this is due to the composition of hydrogen and helium and also because of the extremely cold temperature on these planets..........

Hope it helps you
