because veins are at uper layer of musscels so they are visible

Arteries are deep seated to prevent them from any damage. As even a minor demage in the arteries may result in the loss of lot of blood due to the high pressure of blood in arteries and arteries carry oxygen rich blood and loss of oxygenated blood can prove detrimental to our body.
