why are viruses called micro-organisms( single-celled living organisms) when we are not even sure whether they are living or not???? Does that mean we consider them as living?????

virus are so minute so they are called micro organism.they act asnon living organisums when they are out of host but once when it enters into to the living organisms they act as living beings .so by this we can say them as living things.

viruses are called micro organisms because they respire in the body of their host but cant respire outside the body of host . They are non living but they have some characterstics of living organism . so we will call them living.
