Why are we connecting the equipment in parallel in our house?

because if it will be connected in series if any 1 appliance is damaged it would lead to non functioning of the other appliances and if they are connected in parallel if one appliance is damaged it will not affect other appliances and they will work properly so the equipment in our house is connected in parallel.
