I think because of foosil fuel

the energy we heavtily depends on are mostly non-renewable source and they are limited and not evironment friendly

however unlike it, renewable source are free and environment friendly.

but we still doesn't have the proper technology to harness its full potential so we are still looking for more scientific methods and in the meantime looking for alternate source to substitute non renewable sources
