we are not able to see when we come out of a dark room because when we enter a dark room then the iris of our eyes adjust themselves such that
maximum amount of light can enter in our eyes, and therefore when we come out out iris tries to adjust our pupil such that appropriate amount of light enters in our eyes(not too much and not too less) so that we can see clearly, and therefore during that adjustment we are not able to see things clearly.

when we a enter a dark room then the light and it's reflections is less because the amount of the light is less. at that point our iris got adjusted to that dark place where the light is less. then when we suddenly come into the place where the light and it's reflections are more our eyes needs time to set to that of the place where the light is more. during the adjustments of our eyes we won't be able to see clearly.
