Trigonometry is applied in any right angled triangle because we know that triangle angle sum is 180 and if it is right angle triangle than the other angle are less than 90 and it will come in first quadrant where all the sin ,cos and tan are positive but when we move further on 2 quadrant cos and tan is negative and in 3 sin and cos is negative and in 4 quadrant sin and tan are negative .
As we know that if the triangle come in 2 quadrant than
We know that cos and tan is negative
Cos = side adjacent to the angle /hypotenuse
From this we can say that if it is negative so adjacent side or the hypotenuse should be negative, but side can not be negative we all know
Same as for tan in this case
So from this we can say that we only use it on right angle triangle.

Answer:
No, trigonometry is not only applicable to right angled triangle but it is applied to all triangles. All knows that it is used only for right angled triangle but it is wrong ❌
In higher education you will read about it.
Hope it helped you...
