Why are well developed soils found mostly in low latitudes ?

This is because the climatic conditions in the tropics greatly increase the weathering process. In the lower latitudes the soil or the parent soil material are exposed to higher temperatures and high rainfall amounts, conditions that increase the rate at which these materials are chemically weathered,leading to well developed soils.
