There is no gain saying that women are employed in low paid work. The reasons for the same are as follows:

1. Education is an important determinant of the wage of an individual's job. Since, women generally are uneducated or less educated than men, they are paid less than men.
2. Similarly, skill is also an important determinant of the wage of an individual's job. Since, women generally are unskilled, they are employed in less-paid jobs.
3. It is a fact that women can not do that much of physical work as men can do. This makes then get employed in less-paid jobs.
4. Mostly, women also have an additional responsibility of taking care of their family and bring-up of their children and that's why they can't do justice with their work and hence, are appointed in low-paid works than men.

Women are employed in low paid work because :-

1. Many people think that there is no need for girls/ women to get proper education. Due to this they are considered as less educated. And due to this reason they get low wages of their work.

2. Women have their houses also.
They also have to work of their houses like taking care of their children and family, cooking of food etc. This is also the reason due to which they get less wages.

3. Many women are not aware about their rights that they also have right to get equal wages as men of their same work.

4. Many people think that they are weak they cannot do work as men. They also think that men can do all works instead of women. This is also the reason due to which they get less wages.
