Why are1/4and-1 zeros of the polynomial s p(x)=4x^2+3x-1 ?

p(X)= 4x²+3x-1

p(1/4)= 4*(1/16) + 3*1/4-1

= 1/4+3/4-1

= 1+3-4/4

= 0/4= 0

p(X)= 4x²+3x-1

p(-1)= 4(-1)²+3*-1-1

=4*1-3-1

= 4-4

= 0

thus, both 1/4 and -1 are zeros of the polynomial
