Aristotle was the disciple of Plato. That is a very nice question "why he is regarded as the father of political science?". Political science means empirical study of politics and politics which has its origin in polis means city state and whatever activities happen in a city state that is generally regarded as politics. Justice, Democracy, Citizens, Constitutions, Form of Government, are the integral part of politics and Aristotle had extended view about these political ideas. He had studied more than 150 constitutions of the different countries. His theories are still relevant in the contemporary times hence he is called the father of the political science.
