why aryl halides show extremely less reactive towards nucleophilic substitution reaction

this is due to+I effect shown by halides due to presence of 3 lone pair the electron density increases and compound started to behave as lone pair doner I.e it will goes under electrophilic substitution reacn not neucleophillic one
