why astronout cannot talk to each other on moon as on the earth​

because sound need medium to travel but in space there is no medium such as air so they need special epiquiment to communicate with each other

Sound needs a medium to travel and in moon there is a very thin atmosphere through which sound cannot pass like earth .So they can,t talk directly.
