You can easily see that atomic [H]'s last and reactive electron (valence electron) is on a higher energy level than that of themolecular H2 (not to mention H2's electrons are bonded). Therefore, atomic[H] is more reactive. ... As atomic hydrogen is unstabel and ready to engage with anyone, it is more reactive.
