Atomic radius of zinc is more than copper because in a periodic table when we move from left to right the atomic radius of elements decreases .
Means that zinc is more mettalic than copper because zinc has less atoms in it and in copper there are more atoms and the nucleus attract the atoms towards itself and hence the size is decreases .

The Atomic radius of zinc is more than copper is because of screening effect.
Explanation:
- They result in the repulsion of electrons in the zinc which makes Zinc lead to the large atomic radius.
- in copper nuclear charge is lower than the screening effect hence it has lower atomic radius as compared to zinc.
- They decrease the effect of nuclear charge upon the electrons.
- These electrons are available for a large screening effect.
- Zinc has atomic number 30 and has ten electrons in the d orbitals
- The Size of zinc is greater compared to that of copper.
