why atomic size decrease in period, although by increasing atomic number proton and electron are increasing by same rate,then why charge on nucleus increase and atomic size decrease?​

When charge of nucleus and electrons increase, the nucleus attracts the electrons with a greater charge due to electrostatic force and hence, size of atom decreases
