ATP or Adenosine Tri Phosphate is considered the most important nucleotide as it is the most integral nucleotide associated with metabolism in our body and the transfer of the energy produced after metabolism.

ATP units are used in majority of the major metabolic processes in our body namely protein synthesis, cellular division, aerobic respiration through the glycolysis and cycle of citric acid. One unit of ATP is recycled five hundred to seven hundred times as they cannot be stored.
