Why atp formation during photosynthesis is called non cyclic phototphosphorylation

It is called non-cyclic photophosphorylation because in the light reactions of photosynthesis there is a one-way flow of electrons from chlorophyll to the electron carrier NADPH. ... Hence the namephotophosphorylation. NADPH and ATP are both used in the fixation of CO2 into monosaccharides in the Calvin cycle.
