Why batukeshwar dutt was not hanged with bhagat singh when they both involved in same crime?

There is no evidencce that actually reveals this fact. However one interpretation that might be made for this answer is that, Batukeshwar Dutt had never thrown any bomb at anyone.

He was even never involved into any bombing activity or any similar activity. However he was a very dear friend of Bhagat Singh and he did not want Bhagat Singh to suffer alone.

He rather wanted to teach the British a lesson and demanded for newspapers, better food etc in jail. So while Bhagat Singh was hanged, he got released and he later joined the quit India movement again with Gandhiji.

He somehow escaped death and he knew he would need to take a chance for India as no body would be there to help him there.

Batukeshwar Dutt was born on 18th November 1919, in Bardhaman district of West Bengal. He was basically being driven into the bomb incident case in Delhi along with Bhagat Singh, but actually he was not involved in any cuch cases.

He generally wanted to spend his times with his best friend Bhagat Singh, and understand the british parliament in the central jail. He was imprisoned in the central jail along with Bhagat Singh. After coming out from the jail, he was acquired tuberculosis, and he joined the Quit India Movement along with many famous leader, but he was not sentenced to hanged, because he was not involved in any bomb blasting case. Later  he died on 20th July 1965.
