There is no requirement for key attributes.
BCNF needs every attribute which is fully and non-transitionally dependent on every candidate key.
Above means that every BCNF relation is a 2NF but every 2NF relation isn't necessarily BCNF.
So, BCNF is stronger than 2NF.
That holds up though at least totally to 5NF.
