Why be and mg do not impart any colour to the flame whereas other alkaline earth metals do so?

the reason behind this is that beryllium and magnesium out of other alkaline earth metals have very small size so electronic jumping in them is not possible where is a natural calamities electron jumping is possible so they apart colour to flame
