Why becl2 has zero dipole moment but sncl2 has a positive dipole moment?

Dipole moment of any molecule is vectorial addition of dipole moments of all the individual bonds. The dipole moment of two Be--Cl bond is equal but opposite in direction, so they cancel out each other and the net dipole moment becomes zero.
