why Belgium was able to maintain peace and harmony and got rid of division of the country but sri lanka was not able to do so ? ​

In Sri Lanka , the division was based on the language . Though there being several seperate dialects, only one official dialect was chosen.

Despite several protests, the government refused to change. This resulted in prolonged protests.
