Why benzene is saturated

It certainly is short of hydrogen atoms, but it also does not have the chemical behavior commonly considered characteristic of unsaturatedcompounds. Benzene is actually classified as an aromatic compound and thus is not classed with aliphaticsaturated or unsaturatedhydrocarbons.
