Bile juice plays an important role in the digestion of fats.Bile juice has bile pigments such as bilirubin .They break down fat globules into smaller globules so that the pancreatic enzymes can easily act on them.Bile juice also makes medium alkaline due to presence of NaHCO3 and also activates lipase.
