Biodegradable waste and non biodegradable waste should be discarded in different dustbins because as we know that biodegradable waste can be recycled and reused but non biodegradable waste can not be recycled and if they are mixed then it will take a lot of time to seperate wastes.

biodegradable and non biodegradable wastes should be discarded in different dustbins as there are different ways of treating the waste and it is extra work for the trash collectors to separate the wastes that is why to make their job easier and to prevent the complication in treating the wastes it is necessary to discard the biodegradable and non biodegradable waste separately.

hope this helps you! !
