why black soil is mainly know as self aerated soil ?

Hi,
Because when it becomes dry it forms deep cracks in it due to which it plough itself this id known as self aerated soil that is black soil

it is mainly known so because it is one of the fertail soil ,which have the capacity to absorb the water and can respire easily
