Blood is regarded as a connective tissue because as the blood is circulated throughout the body due to pumping action of heart, it carries different materials and gases from one part of the body to another. Hence, it connects different tissues and organs of the body and thus, called as a connective tissue

Blood is considered a connective tissue because it has a matrix and  it carries with lots many digestive substances ,Oxygen from lungs ,foods from small intestine, and provide it to other tissues and organs of the body. Since, it connects heart, lungs and small intestine with other tissue of the body and works as a medium between them.
