why blue colour of copper sulphate starts fading when zinc rod is dipped in it

because zinc is more reactive than copper and when , zn is dissolved in cuso4 (copper sulphate) it easily displaces copper from its sulphate solution...
so the blue colour of copper strats fading and copper deposits on the rod...
this is due to displacment reaction.
