As we know that According to the Chemistry, blue vitriol upon heating changes to anhydrous copper sulphate which is white in colour. As blue vitriol contains 5 moles of water whereas anhydrous copper sulphate contains 0 moles of water molecules. When we we heat blue vitriol it losses it's water of crystallization and becomes anhydrous copper sulphate which is without water of crystallization.
