Why boiling is known as bulk phenomenon??

it is because particles from the bulk (whole) of the liquid change into vapour state.
btw you can get this in ur ncert book of 9 th 1st chapter (pg. no.-11, 8 th point)

The boiling point of water is 100 C.It is called bulk phenomena because particles inside liquid gains adequate energy to change into vapour state and this happens only at boiling point.
