Boron is an inert element, so it does not react with all acids and alkalies.

Boron reacts only with nitric acid forming boric acid.

Boron dissolves only in fused alkalies.

2B + 6NaOH (fused) → 2Na3BO3 + 3H2

shreyamahajan: what the reason is ki vo inert hai that's why nhi karta react alkali and acid ke saath
shreyamahajan: hmm likha to asa hi hai
shreyamahajan: one and the same thing kare yaa hoye vo react to nhibkar raha bas alkali se yaa acid se isi vajah se inert hone ki vajah se
shreyamahajan: ok inert pair effect hota hai
