Why both red and violet colour remain same in vaccum??

When in vacuum the refractive index is equal to one. So there is no deflection. But in any other medium with RI more than one, wavelength is inversely proportional to deviation angle, so as wavelength of red is more so its deviation angle will be less. Opp. for violet.
