Why both the factors of a quadratic polynomial are the zeros of the quadratic polynomial?

Let the factors of a general equation (ax^2 + bx + c = 0) be m and n.

Therefore, this equation can be written as:

(x - m)(x - n) = 0

So, for this equation to exist either (x - m) has to be zero or (x - n) has to be equal to zero.

So, thia is why the factoRs of a quadratic polynomial are the zeros of a quadratic polynomial.
