Britishers were reculant to gain Punjab during Ranjit Singh 's rule because....
1 Punjab was mostly engaged to developed his army status....
2 Impression of Ranjit Singh on his people could be a negative sign for Britishers...
3 Punjab was surrounded by 5 Rivers....So it could be a part of major transporter land....
