Plants belonging to Bryophyta can grow both on land and water.
They live in water for the reproduction process.

Even amphibians are those organisms who live on both land and animals.
So, the bryophytes are called Amphibians of Plant Kingdom.

Answer:

plants belonging to bryophyta grow on moist soil but need water for reproduction. thus they share two habitats such as soil and water. that's why they are called amphibians.
